St. John Bosco 17, Alemany 14--Richard Williams drilled a 29-yard field goal with 1:43 remaining to give St. John Bosco the victory and keep the Braves’ playoff hopes alive.

Alemany (1-7-2, 0-5) tried a last-ditch comeback, but St. John Bosco linebacker Vincent Vigil sacked Alemany quarterback Danny Arguella at the Braves 27-yard line on the final play of the game.

St. John Bosco (5-5, 2-3) jumped out to a 14-0 lead in the first quarter on a 25-yard touchdown run by Ryan Williams and Chad Carpenter’s 25-yard interception return. But the Indians stormed back in the second quarter aided by two St. John Bosco fumbles.

Alemany linebacker Gus Lira forced and recovered a fumble at the St. John Bosco 20, and the Indians capitalized with a 28-yard touchdown pass from Arguella to B.C. Andreasen.

Two plays later, linebacker Steve Hill recovered a fumble at the St. John Bosco 37 that set up a one-yard touchdown run by running back Gus Lopez.

Arguella completed eight of 17 for 141 yards for Alemany, but was sacked six times.
