Terrance Stokes scored on a one-yard run with less than two minutes to play Saturday, leading Pennsylvania to an 18-14 Ivy League victory over Cornell and an NCAA Division I-AA record with its 21st consecutive victory.

Holy Cross previously held the record, with 20 consecutive victories during the 1990-91 seasons. Penn, 9-0 overall and 7-0 in the Ivy League, has not lost since Nov. 14, 1992.

Cornell (6-4, 3-4) took a 14-0 first-quarter lead on touchdown runs of 67 and three yards by Chad Levitt, and it was 14-3 going into the fourth quarter.

A 54-yard pass play, Mark DeRosa to Mark Fabish, and a two-point conversion made it 14-11. Stokes’ winning score was set up when DeRosa and Fabish teamed up on a 40-yard pass play.
