Linda’s Doll Hut will devote six weekend nights in December to its annual series of benefit concerts for the Orangewood Children’s Home.

This is the sixth year the Doll Hut has staged a holiday benefit for the county-run home for abused children; in all, owner Linda Jemison said, this will be the 12th consecutive year in which she has helped organize a December rock benefit for Orangewood. Jemison said she hopes the six concerts at the little roadhouse will raise $3,000 to $5,000. She will buy toys and equipment with the cash and donate it to the children’s home.

The Doll Hut also is planning a 1995 benefit album for Orangewood, to be recorded at the club in a series of concerts tentatively scheduled for February; Jemison aims to include 20 bands covering the blues, punk, rockabilly and alternative styles most often featured at the Doll Hut.
