A man was killed Wednesday night after being struck by a car and dragged about 100 feet, police said.
The man, who has not yet been identified, was in a crosswalk on 5th Street near Jackson Street at 8 p.m. when the accident occurred, said Sgt. Dick Faust.
“He was struck by a red Toyota Corolla and dragged under the car,” Faust said. “The Toyota then struck a parked Chevrolet Nova.”
Faust said the victim is about 30 years old but was not carrying identification. No arrests were made and the accident remains under investigation. There were no other injuries, Faust said.
