Pond for Pond, Temecula Has a Lake That’s Loaded
Corona Lake is more of a pond than a lake. One can row from one end to another without working up a sweat.
Therein lies the advantage because the small reservoir near Temecula is loaded with fish.
Or so it would seem, given the success recently of Jim Payne. The angler from Orange, casting mini-jigs near the dam and along the east shore, caught and released 30 crappie and 10 largemouth bass and then pulled from the lake his five-fish limit of trout.
