STILL FAB: It’s been 30 years since they invaded America, but the Beatles are still a big hit. Their new double CD, “Live at the BBC,” was released Tuesday and quickly sold out at some Valley locations, including the Wherehouse in Sherman Oaks. . . . “We got 10 of them in, and sold out Wednesday afternoon,” says manager Dan Bauman. “Nirvana didn’t do that well.” Thursday was the 14th anniversary of John Lennon’s death.

HEAVY TASK: Where’s the beef? That’s an easy one. It’s in Hart High’s offensive line. CANDY CANE: Mr. Rodgers’ neighborhood is again lighting up the Valley. Dave and Cathy Rodgers, along with other residents, have spotlighted their area of Woodland Hills--”Candy Cane Lane”--with holiday decorations. (Valley Life! Page 27) . . .
