CANOGA PARK : Applications for Scholarship Available
The First United Methodist Church of Canoga Park is accepting applications for a $1,500 scholarship awarded yearly to at least one college junior or senior.
The scholarship fund was created by the church in memory of Laura Longman, who died in 1984 of a heart attack while a student at San Francisco State University.
Longman was ill with heart disease throughout her academic career and had to have an experimental heart transplant.
All college students who will be juniors or seniors in the fall of 1995 and who have at least a 2.25 grade-point average qualify for the scholarship. Applications are due Feb. 16.
