GLENDALE : Father of 3 Slain Outside His Home
A Glendale man was fatally shot in front of his apartment complex, police said.
Gurgen Odjakhian, 32, arrived home from work at 5:30 p.m. Thursday and was shot in front of the home he shared with his wife and three children in the 400 block of Hawthorne Street, said Lt. Don Meredith of the Glendale Police Department.
His wife heard the gunfire, ran outside and found him, then called 911, said police spokesman Chahe Keuroghelian.
“He was slumped down in front” of the house, Meredith said. “It appeared to be a single gunshot wound.”
Odjakhian died less than an hour later at Glendale Memorial Hospital and Health Center.
Police said they have no motive for the shooting, but the investigation is continuing.
