Wilshire Square Group Gives Neighbor Award
The Wilshire Square Neighborhood Assn. has honored Lisa Bist as its Neighbor of the Year for her efforts to promote and preserve the community.
Bist received the award during a presentation at Councilman Robert L. Richardson’s home Wednesday night. About 80 residents and community leaders including Mayor Miguel A. Pulido Jr. attended the event, association spokesman Simon Kings said.
Bist was chosen because “she’s eager to get involved and lend a hand. She’s active in promoting the neighborhood so people realize it’s a good family-oriented neighborhood,” Kings said.
