2 Killed, 1 Hurt in Big Bear Plane Crash

BIG BEAR CITY, Calif. —
A small airplane departing a San Bernardino Mountains airport crashed in a field Monday, killing two people and injuring one, authorities said.
The single-engine plane went down half a mile east of Big Bear City Airport, said San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Deputy Jim Kuck.
The victims were not identified. The injured person was flown to a hospital. There was no immediate report on that person’s condition.
A fire broke out but was contained to the crash site, the deputy said.
The type of airplane was not known.
