PRO FOOTBALL DAILY REPORT : RAIDERS : Shell Praises Hoskins, Bates
In their first game paired as starting safeties, third-year veteran Derrick Hoskins and second-year pro Patrick Bates earned passing grades for their efforts against Seattle on Sunday.
“They played well,” Coach Art Shell said. “Derrick moved to free safety where he hadn’t played since college, while Patrick played strong.”

Fewer than 5,000 tickets remained for Saturday’s game against Kansas City as of late Tuesday. The Raiders have until 1 p.m. today to reach a sellout to remove the local television blackout. Capacity is 67,400.
