Mustafa to Attend Arizona State

Isaiah Mustafa, an all-state receiver at Moorpark College, said Wednesday that he has signed a letter of intent to play at Arizona State.
“The campus was everything I hoped for,” Mustafa said. “As soon as I took the (recruiting) trip my mind was made up.”
Mustafa, 6 feet 3, 210 pounds, set a Raider single-season record this year with 66 receptions and 1,086 yards. He scored 10 touchdowns.
Mustafa, a former Santa Clara High basketball standout and two-time state decathlon runner-up at Moorpark, had not played football for several years before joining the Raiders in 1993. He was a starting free safety but was converted to receiver later that season.
Mustafa said that two factors played heavily in his decision to sign with the Sun Devils.
“I like their quarterback (Jake Plummer) and my sister lives in Tempe, so I’ll be close to family,” Mustafa said.
