Share

Works by artists age 65 and older are being sought for the “Artists’ Salute to Black History Month,” an annual black art exhibit that opens in February at the Baldwin Hills Crenshaw Plaza.

This year’s theme is “Our Elders . . . Our Foundations.”

Exhibit organizers are accepting works in all media. Entries must be submitted on 35-millimeter slides or photographs to be considered for competition. Prizes for best entries range from $50 to $350.

The annual art show, which features one of the largest collections of black art in the country, will also feature seminars, storytelling, art workshops and a special tribute to senior citizens.
