Holiday Closings
Sunday was Christmas, and the following will be closed today in observance of the holiday:
* All city, county, state and federal offices. City offices in Fullerton, Garden Grove, Orange and Westminster will be closed through Jan. 2.
* County, state and federal courthouses.
* City and county libraries.
* Banks and savings and loans.
* Schools: Classrooms and school offices, including those at colleges and universities, will be closed through Jan. 2.
* Mail: There will be no mail delivery today. All post offices will be closed, and mail deposited in mailboxes today will be picked up according to the posted holiday schedule.
* Trash: In most cities and unincorporated county areas, there will be no trash pickup today; pickups will be one day late the rest of the week. Trash will be picked up on a regular schedule in Buena Park, Costa Mesa, La Habra, La Palma and Stanton. Residents in Anaheim, Brea, Garden Grove, Orange, Placentia and Yorba Linda with trash pickups today should put their trash out Tuesday.
* Buses: Orange County Transportation Authority buses will run on a holiday schedule today.
* Parks: All city- and county-run parks and recreation facilities will be closed.
