Free Legal Clinic for Quake Victims
Community Assisting Recovery will host a free legal clinic dealing with earthquake damage claims today from noon to 9 p.m. at its center, 20525 Nordhoff St., Chatsworth.
The forum will focus on a requirement that lawsuits arising from the quake must be filed within a year of the event, according to Shirley Keyser, a volunteer for the organization.
On hand will be attorneys, contractors and government officials to answer questions from quake victims. One-on-one sessions with attorneys also will available throughout the day.
