Mike Dorsey scored a career-high 24 points against his former team to lead Cal State Northridge over Seattle University, 88-75, Saturday night in a nonconference game at Northridge.

Dorsey, a junior who left Seattle after his freshman season in 1993 because of academic problems, set the tone with 16 first-half points as Northridge ended a five-game losing streak.

“It was important for us as a team,” said Dorsey, who said he felt “a little extra edge” against his former teammates. “We needed to come out and play harder, and we did.”
