GIRLS’ BASKETBALL : Manual Arts Could Be the Coastal Team to Beat

Share
SPECIAL TO THE TIMES

Manual Arts High Coach Andrea Anthony isn’t ready to predict how the Toilers will fare in the Coastal Conference in her first season.

Manual Arts, though, looked among the best Wednesday after handing Venice a 54-38 defeat in a battle of unbeaten conference teams.

“We have a tendency to be erratic at times, and control is the key,” Anthony said.

That was not a problem Wednesday for Manual Arts, which was not challenged en route to winning its seventh in row to improve to 5-0 in conference.
