What if five--count ‘em, five--hours of the biggest sporting event of the year don’t mean a thing to you? If you can’t wrest the remote control from super fans, but there’s another TV available, there’s plenty to watch Sunday opposite the Game. A sampling of some alternatives:

Eight Great Hours of Andy: Eight hours of the best of “The Andy Griffith Show.” TBS, 10 a.m.

Black America 1994: A Year in Review: Actor-director Mario Van Peebles hosts an examination of 365 days in the life of African Americans. KNBC, 3 p.m.

Biopics on KTLA: “Jacqueline Bouvier Kennedy”: The 1981 biopic stars Jaclyn Smith, James Franciscus, Rod Taylor and Stephen Elliot. KTLA, 2 p.m.

“Amadeus”: Tom Hulce essays the title role of Mozart in the 1984 feature, which garnered an Oscar for F. Murray Abraham as his nemesis, Salieri. Also featuring Elizabeth Berridge (“The John Larroquette Show”) and Simon Callow. KTLA, 4 p.m.

AMC’s classics unlimited: “Beau Geste,” the 1939 Foreign Legion tale, stars Gary Cooper, Ray Milland, Robert Preston and Susan Hayward, 2 p.m. Flowery fantasy with 1944’s “Ali Baba and The Forty Thieves,” starring Maria Montez and Jon Hall, 4 p.m. “Plaza Suite,” Arthur Hiller’s 1971 adaptation of Neil Simon’s play, features Walter Matthau, Maureen Stapleton, Barbara Harris and Lee Grant at the famed hotel, 6 p.m.

Machine That Changed the World: Five hours of what computers have wrought. KCET, 1:30 p.m.

The Windsors: A Royal Family: A four-hour look at the British royal family through four generations, from 1917 to 1992. KPBS, 1 p.m.

TMC Movie Fest: Kurt Russell and Val Kilmer in “Tombstone,” the better received of last year’s Wyatt Earp pics, 1:40 p.m.. Tom Hanks’ Oscar-winning performance in the drama “Philadelphia,” 3:50 p.m. Sarah Jessica Parker, Nicolas Cage and James Caan vying for a “Honeymoon in Vegas,” with flying Elvises all around, 5:55 p.m.

“Starsky and Hutch” marathon: The popular cops, revisited. TNT, noon-8 p.m.

Sitcom double doses: “Three’s Company.” 3 and 3:30 p.m. “Family Ties,” 4 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. “I Love Lucy,” 5 p.m., 5:30 p.m. All on KTTV.

NBA double header: The Phoenix Suns take on the New York Knicks at Madison Square Garden, NBC, 9 a.m., followed by The Golden State Warriors vs. the Chicago Bulls at Chicago’s new United Center.
