NEWPORT BEACH : A Uniform Number for Sports Information
The city has installed a sports hot line for members of city-sponsored leagues to check on game conditions, team statistics and other league information.
“Our new hot line will make it much easier for thousands of adult league players to find the most current information about games, scores and team standings,” recreation coordinator Scott Williamson said.
There are about 3,000 league basketball players and 6,700 softball players a year, Williamson said. Eventually, the hot line is expected to include other Community Services Department activities.
The hot line is (714) 644-3163. For softball information, enter the code number 1050. For basketball information, the code is 1051.
