SIMI VALLEY : Applicants Sought for Air Quality Panel
The Simi Valley City Council is accepting applications for residents interested in serving on the board that reviews Ventura County’s air pollution policies.
The Ventura County Air Pollution Control District Advisory Committee will include 15 members appointed by the Board of Supervisors and 10 additional members, one from each of the county’s 10 cities.
The body reviews proposed rules from the Air Pollution Control District staff before public hearings and considers other air quality issues before the county.
The committee meets the fourth Tuesday of each month at 7:30 p.m. at the county Government Center in Ventura. Those interested in serving the two-year term should submit an application to the city manager’s office at City Hall by Feb. 21. The City Council will make the appointment during its Feb. 27 meeting.
