BREA : City Offers Classes for Disaster Volunteers
A series of eight emergency preparedness classes will be conducted by the Fire Services Department as part of the Brea Community Assistance and Response to Emergency Situations program.
Volunteers who complete five core classes may be called on to help city personnel during large-scale emergencies, such as earthquakes and fires.
Classes will begin March 7 at Fire Station No. 3, 400 N. Kraemer Blvd. Topics will include fire suppression, medical aid, search and rescue, cardiopulmonary resuscitation, disaster psychology and personal protection.
Registration is available at the Fire Services Office at the Brea Civic & Cultural Center, 1 Civic Center Circle, or by calling (714) 990-7622.
