COMPTON : Armored Car Guard Robbed at Grocery Store
Gunmen held up an armored car guard in front of a Compton grocery store Thursday, but no one was hurt, police said.
The robbery occurred about 10:45 a.m. in the 1900 block of Willowbrook Avenue, said Sgt. John Garrett of the Compton Police Department.
“Part of the stolen money was recovered,” Garrett said. “Officers saw these people running through the area and they checked and found some of the money” the bandits had apparently dropped.
