SAN LUIS OBISPO--You’ll need plenty of napkins and a hearty appetite for the 10th annual San Luis Obispo Rib Cook-Off, March 2 on Higuera Street. As part of the Farmers Market, the competition features Hot and Spicy Ribs, Beef Ribs, Pork Ribs and People’s Choice. Music and kids’ entertainment also offered. SANTA BARBARA--The 10th annual Santa Barbara International Film Festival offers a cinematic feast in five downtown venues, March 3-12. SAN DIEGO--”Orchid Safari,” the San Diego County Orchid Society’s 49th annual Orchid Show and Plant Sale, is March 17-19 at the Scottish Rite Memorial Center, 1895 Camino del Rio South.
