Rain Postpones Evert Cup Final

A light but steady rain Sunday postponed the women’s final of the State Farm Evert Cup at the Hyatt Grand Champions Resort, causing the women’s tournament here to overlap with the first day of the men’s Newsweek Champions Cup.

The final between Natasha Zvereva and Mary Joe Fernandez will be played on the Stadium Court after a men’s match, which starts at noon. The doubles final between the team of Lindsay Davenport and Lisa Raymond against Larisa Neiland and Arantxa Sanchez Vicario will be played on the Clubhouse Court, following a men’s match but not before 11 a.m.

Tickets for Sunday’s match will be honored for today’s final.
