BUENA PARK : Deadline to Apply for City Flood Aid Today
Today is the last day for residents to apply for city-sponsored grants to repair damage from the January rainstorms.
Only residents who own property next to the collapsed Fullerton Creek flood-control channel qualify for city grants. But the Federal Emergency Management Agency will take applications for aid from any property owners in the city through Monday.
The city is offering grants of up to $3,500 to homeowners affected by flooding. Residents can contact officials at the economic development division by calling (714) 562-3593.
FEMA also has a variety of aid programs, and applicants can get more information by calling (800) 462-9029.
