Guidance Sought on Schools Chief Search

The Las Virgenes Unified School District will hold a series of meetings over the next several days to seek guidance from parents, teachers, administrators and other district employees as it begins to search for a replacement for Supt. Albert (Bud) Marley, who is retiring at the end of this school year.

Robert E. Ferris, a consultant hired to conduct the search, will be on hand Monday through Thursday to meet with various groups. Community meetings are scheduled for 7:30 p.m. Monday at Agoura High School in Room A-1 and 7:30 p.m. Wednesday in the Calabasas High School library.

Meetings have been scheduled for specific groups between Monday and Thursday at various sites throughout the district. Call the district office at (818) 880-4000 for more information.

Those who cannot attend any of the scheduled meetings can make an appointment to meet with Ferris by calling Betty Brown at the district office. The district will also accept written comments, which should be addressed to Board of Education President Barbara Bowman-Fagelson, Las Virgenes School District, 4111 N. Las Virgenes Road, Calabasas 91302.
