In the Costa Mesa tournament championship game:
Santa Ana 7, Calvary Chapel 5--Danny Saldana and Juan Ramirez survived some shaky defense behind them to combine for the victory and the save for Santa Ana (3-3).
The Saints committed five errors in the game.
Joe Jones had a home run for visiting Calvary Chapel (4-2).
In the Redlands Calvary Chapel tournament:
Liberty Christian 4, Riverside Christian 4 (7, time, Liberty Christian wins on total bases)--Junior left-hander Ray Cook went the distance, striking out 15 and walking one, for Liberty Christian (3-3).
With two outs in the fourth inning, sophomore Jon Stephens singled in Bryan Avery to tie the score, 4-4. Liberty Christian will play Riverside Bethel Christian at 1 p.m. Saturday in the consolation championship.
In nonleague baseball:
Costa Mesa 15, Los Amigos 6--John Schroeder went three for four with a double and a home run and Jeremy Starns also went three for four with three runs batted in for Costa Mesa (2-3).
Dana Hills 7-0, Savanna 3-4--Scott Maynard and Joe Yagher each went two for three in the first game, including Maynard’s two-run triple, for Dana Hills (3-3), which overcame a two-run first-inning deficit.
Magnolia 4, Bolsa Grande 0--Rich Michealson pitched a complete-game shutout, throwing four strikeouts and one walk for Magnolia (1-1). Second baseman Jorge Silva had an RBI double for the Sentinels.
