Lakers Show Some Class, Clippers Need to Learn

Share

The decision by the Lakers to sign the injured Randolph Keys for the balance of the reason exemplifies the differences between the Lakers and Clippers in terms of loyalty and goodwill.

The Lakers will pay Keys for the remainder of the season, although he will play no more games and the team has no obligation to pay him. On the other hand, the Clippers refused to sign Danny Manning and Ken Norman to long-term contracts when the opportunity was available.

The rebuilding of the Clippers will be futile until ownership and management understand loyalty and goodwill.
