Zasu’s Ghost

I would like to make a correction on your nice article of Feb. 9 about “Candy Hits” by Zasu Pitts. The little book was co-authored by our mother, Edith Horton.

Yes! It was a wonderful friendship with the testing of the candies done in our family hillside kitchen here in Westwood, with both Mother and Zasu stirring pots.

Mother died last spring at 95 1/2, and during the sorting of closets I found a box of the famous books and will distribute them to the grandchildren and later great-grandchildren as a legacy from two beautiful women. Thank you for the nice article.
