Connelly 15, Liberty Christian 5 (5, mercy rule)--Shannon Boardman went four for four with four RBIs for host Connelly (6-1, 2-0).
In the Garden Grove League:
Bolsa Grande 5, Santiago 1--Mary Petrie (4-1) pitched a three-hitter, striking out five for Bolsa Grande (8-4, 1-1).
In the Golden West League:
Ocean View 4, Tustin 4 (9, darkness)--Sarah Angle scored on a wild pitch to pull Tustin even in the bottom of the ninth before the game was called due to darkness. Pitcher GiGi Leroux was two for four with a double and a run batted in for Tustin (5-3-1, 2-1-1).
Rosary 10, Santa Ana 2--Laura Fulton was three for three, including a triple, scored three runs, drove in two and stole two bases and Gina Martin was three for five with two RBIs for Rosary (6-4, 2-2).
Westminster 9, Saddleback 2--Deeann Keene homered in the fifth and Krissy Keene earned her first victory for first-place Westminster (4-1, 4-0).
In the Costa Mesa tournament third-place game:
Laguna Beach 3, Edison 2--Liz Belloni singled and scored the winning run on an error by the Edison center fielder in the seventh for Laguna Beach (5-4-1).
In other nonleague softball:
Cypress 2, Brethren Christian 0--Cypress' Sasha Campbell (2-0) gave up four hits and struck out five. Campbell scored the Centurions' first run and Ruby Acatorrir singled and scored on single by Rebecca Acker for Cypress' second run.
El Toro 4, Katella 2--Jennifer Stout singled to dive in Jennifer Hamer with the winning run in the fifth inning. Kelli Bruce had a double, scored two runs and stole two bases for El Toro (7-8).
Loara 6, Troy 4--Kristi Kowny had a two-run double in the first for Loara (4-6), which had 13 hits.
Los Alamitos 3, Bellflower 2--Cyndi Tredway had a single, a double and scored one run and drove in another for Los Alamitos (11-2). Pitcher Michelle Schneider, who had 13 strikeouts for the Griffins, had a triple.
Savanna 4, Canyon 0--Jennifer Cope (2-2) went the distance, striking out six and walking one, for Savanna (7-3), which scored all its runs in the first inning.
Valencia 3-7, Sonora 2-7--Valencia won the first game and the second was called a tie in the seventh inning due to darkness.
