Two adults were found drowned at two Orange County homes Wednesday morning and authorities are investigating both as accidents.
Just before 8 a.m., Laguna Beach police found the body of Julie Ravenna, a 30-year-old artist, next to a hot tub in a studio of a home in the 100 block of Thalia Street, Sgt. Greg Bartz said. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
Ravenna’s father told police that he last saw her at 9:15 p.m. Tuesday. He said he discovered his daughter’s partially clothed body at the bottom of the spa and pulled her out, according to police. Ravenna was in the later stages of multiple sclerosis and may have fallen into the tub or suffered a seizure while in the spa, authorities said.
At 8:30 a.m., Tustin police were called to a residence in the 1100 block of Drayton Avenue, where they found the fully clothed body of an 81-year-old man next to a back-yard swimming pool.
Orange County paramedics attempted to revive Yoo Kon Ko, but he was pronounced dead at the scene, Lt. Walter Wedemeyer said.
The man’s grandson told police he pulled the man from the bottom of the pool.
