DON’T WAIT UNDER THE APPLE TREE . . .

1995 is the 50th anniversary of Victory in Europe (VE day, May 8) and Victory over Japan (VJ day, Aug. 14).

I need your help. I am compiling a booklet to list expressions, sayings and songs that were part of our service experiences. For those of us that still have our faculties, who are still around, looking down at the roses, before we start looking up at the roses!

Words or versions of marching songs, original verses and so forth. Songs such as “Roll Me Over in the Clover” (all the different versions.)

My plan is to supply these booklets to Veterans’ groups around the country for fund-raising.
