Hey, There’s More: Jazz Bash

Also on tap this weekend is radio station KSBR’s annual Jazz Bash, an improvised, jam-session gathering of Southern California musicians at the Dana Point Resort.

Among those scheduled to appear are saxophonists Boney James, Jeff Kashiwa and Brandon Fields, bassists Max Bennett and Luther Hughes, vocalist Kevyn Lettau and keyboardist Freddie Ravel. As usual, trumpeter Tony Guerrero will emcee.

The event runs from 1:30 to 5 p.m., with admission $15 in advance, $18 at the door. Kids 12 and under are $5. A special Jazz Weekend pass is available for $25 that allows holders into the Bash on Saturday and the Newport Jazz Festival on Sunday. (714) 582-4501 or (714) 582-5727.
