* * * Lebo M., “Rhythm of the Pridelands,” Disney. This album is not, as many apparently think, the sequel to the hit soundtrack from “The Lion King.” The South African singer-songwriter, who worked on the soundtrack, used that material as a jumping-off point for a classy collection of South African-flavored pop tunes--mostly stirring, choral-backed ballads.
New albums are rated on a scale of one star (poor), two stars (fair), three stars (good) and four stars (excellent).
