CAMARILLO : State Hospital Plans a Country Ho-Down
The Families and Advocates for the Mentally Ill at Camarillo State Hospital and Developmental Center will present a Country Days Ho-Down this Saturday to benefit the patients at the hospital, officials announced.
The event, from 1 to 4 p.m., will feature patient artworks for sale in addition to games, entertainment and refreshments. During the event, the hospital art gallery will be open to the public.
Proceeds will go toward the purchase of arts and crafts materials for patients. The event is part of May’s observance of Mental Health Month.
