FILLMORE : Man Sought in Alleged Assault
Authorities on Thursday were looking for a man who assaulted a 31-year-old Pomona woman near Fillmore.
According to sheriff’s deputies, the woman was driving to the Santa Paula area to visit a friend on May 8 when she developed car trouble.
She pulled onto the shoulder of westbound California 126 and the suspect, who had been following her from Interstate 5, pulled in behind her, authorities said.
The woman got in her car when the man approached her, deputies said.
The suspect then leaned in the driver’s window and assaulted the woman, deputies said.
The woman managed to start the car and drove off. The suspect followed her again and exited in Santa Paula, authorities said.
Authorities described the suspect as a Latino with dark hair, a cracked front tooth and pierced left ear. He is in his mid-20s, 5 feet, 6 inches tall and weighs 180 pounds.
