Here’s the Wright Way to Give an Interview
- Share via
After reading the May 13 article about the you-said-it-no-I-didn’t controversy between Ben Wright and Valerie Hembrecht concerning women golfers, it seems to me that there is a simple way of avoiding this type of situation.
Before proceeding with an interview with a member of the press, have a tape recorder turned on with this admonition to the interviewer: “This conversation is being recorded and will be used as evidence if I am deliberately misquoted or if any sentiment is taken out of context and used in a way to distort the true meaning intended.”
