Arson Suspected After Liquor Store, Mattress Shop Burn
A liquor store and a mattress shop were badly damaged Saturday morning in a fire that might have been arson, fire officials said.
Residents near a shopping complex at 1895 W. Katella Ave. reported seeing someone tossing an unidentified object into the building shortly before the fire broke out at 2 a.m., according to the Anaheim Fire Department.
There were no injuries.
Sunrise Liquor and Sleep Express sustained nearly $300,000 in damage. Four trucks and six fire engines were sent to the scene. The fire was controlled within 30 minutes, fire officials said.
