PORT HUENEME : Oxnard Woman Dies After Car Hits Van
A 47-year-old Oxnard woman apparently collapsed at the wheel of her car, which struck a parked van in Port Hueneme on Monday morning. She died later at the hospital, police said.
Patricia Powers was driving east on Board Road at 11 a.m. when her car veered south and crashed into the van, Port Hueneme Police Detective Chris Graham said.
When officers arrived, they found the woman semiconscious with no visible injuries.
She was taken to St. John’s Regional Medical Center in Oxnard, where she died about 12:20 p.m.
The cause of death will be determined by an autopsy this week by the Ventura County coroner’s office.
