LA HABRA : Community Center Celebrates Opening
Nearly three years after bulldozers razed 12 old buildings, including former President Richard Nixon’s law office, the new community center on the site is having a grand opening.
A ribbon-cutting ceremony, class demonstrations and tours will be today from 4 to 8 p.m.
The $2-million center includes meeting rooms, banquet halls, office space and classrooms for nonprofit organizations and private functions such as parties.
The center is across from City Hall at 101 W. La Habra Blvd.
