HUNTINGTON BEACH : Job Seekers Can Find Advice at Career Fair
A free career fair Saturday will offer services to job seekers, including the unemployed, the underemployed and people seeking career changes.
Sponsored by Golden West College, the noon-to-4-p.m. event will include discussions of job skills, employment potential and ways to enter training and apprenticeship programs.
Evelyn Weiss, a college faculty member who is coordinator for the fair, said many new career opportunities are available.
“Today, roles once considered to be traditional are being re-examined,” she said. “Women and men are no longer locked into the career choices of the past.”
The fair will be in the central quad of Golden West College, 15744 Golden West St.
