VAN NUYS : Business Watch Meets to Discuss Problems
A representative from the Los Angeles city attorney’s office is scheduled to meet with the Sepulveda / Van Nuys Boulevard Business Watch at 6:30 p.m. today to discuss problems on the boulevard.
The crime prevention group has been active in community issues since it was created in the fall of 1993. It meets the first Wednesday of every month and has expanded to encompass Van Nuys businesses as well as those on Sepulveda Boulevard.
Most recently, leaders have lobbied the California Department of Transportation to place signs on off-ramps of the San Diego Freeway to discourage panhandling.
The Sepulveda / Van Nuys Boulevard Business Watch is slated to meet at Economy Office Furniture, 6300 N. Sepulveda Blvd., Van Nuys.
