Times Mirror Names Clifford Senior Vice President: The naming of Patrick A. Clifford, who heads the company’s medical, scientific and technical and college publishing businesses, is the first executive promotion announced by Mark H. Willes, who joined Times Mirror as its chief executive last week. Clifford, a 15-year veteran of the company, previously served as group vice president. He will continue to report to Edward E. Johnson, senior vice president for professional information. Times Mirror Co. owns the Los Angeles Times and other newspapers, as well as broadcasting and publishing enterprises.
