HUNTINGTON BEACH : Man Killed Crossing Beach Boulevard

A 74-year-old Victorville man was struck by a car and killed Friday as he crossed a street.
Police said the driver was southbound on Beach Boulevard near Ellis Avenue at 1:20 a.m. when Daniel Beckman suddenly appeared in front of his car.
Police said it’s not clear whether the Beckman was in a crosswalk, but he was crossing against the light. Officers said the driver was unable to avoid him and was not cited.
The accident remains under investigation.
