Company Town : Senior VP Post Filled at Chris Montan

Melissa Bachrach has been named to the newly created position of senior vice president for Chris Montan Productions on the Walt Disney Studios lot in Burbank.

In her new role, Bachrach will be responsible for overseeing development and production for film projects. She was previously head of Nation Films at Sony Pictures and was senior vice president of production at Twentieth Century Fox.

* Blaise J. Noto has been promoted to senior vice president of national publicity for the Motion Picture Group of Paramount Pictures.

Separately, Paramount named Maren Moebius senior vice president of creative advertising and print for the marketing division of the Motion Picture Group. Greg Ferris was promoted to senior vice president of marketing for Paramount Pictures Canada.

* Margaret E.G. Collins has been promoted to vice president of distribution and marketing legal affairs at Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Inc.

* Sony Electronic Publishing named Bob Hurley, who helped build the CD-ROM manufacturing business of Sony Electronic Publishing, senior vice president of media and software services.

* Warner Bros. International Television Distribution has teamed with animation producer Fred Wolf to co-produce 26 episodes of the half-hour animated series “The Fantastic Voyages of Sinbad the Sailor.”

* Elizabeth Masterton has been promoted to vice president at Twentieth Century Fox. Her duties will include oversight of talent administration, titles and clearance in Fox’s legal department.

* Savoy Pictures has appointed Gigi Gerard vice president of music.
