(PG) This is a 1978 remake of John Ford’s great Western, “The Searchers.” Alex Cord stars as the embittered, racist frontiersman tracking his daughter, who’s been kidnaped by Indians. (PG) This recent comedy re-creates the juvenile antics of the original series starring Spanky, Alfalfa, Darla and Buckwheat. A new bunch of child actors and Daryl Hannah and Whoopi Goldberg are on hand as the gang slips into high jinks. Directed by onetime fringe filmmaker Penelope Spheeris.
