Grayeagle

(PG) This is a 1978 remake of John Ford’s great Western, “The Searchers.” Alex Cord stars as the embittered, racist frontiersman tracking his daughter, who’s been kidnaped by Indians. Cord is no John Wayne, but this Charles B. Pierce-directed movie is serviceable. Screens Friday at 12:45 p.m. at the Cypress Senior Citizen Center, 9031 Grindlay St., Cypress. FREE. (714) 229-6776.

The Little Rascals

(PG) This recent comedy re-creates the juvenile antics of the original series starring Spanky, Alfalfa, Darla and Buckwheat. A new bunch of child actors and Daryl Hannah and Whoopi Goldberg are on hand as the gang slips into high jinks. Directed by onetime fringe filmmaker Penelope Spheeris. Screens July 7 at dusk (between 8 and 8:30 p.m.) as part of Golden West College’s outdoor family film series. In GWC’s amphitheater, 15744 Golden West St., Huntington Beach. $2 per person, or $8 per family (maximum of six). (714) 891-3991.
