A man found dead in his car was identified Sunday as a Camarillo resident who had been missing since June 22.

Marvin Feuerborn, 66, had been in his car at the bottom of a steep ravine off West Potrero Road for days, said Mitch Breese, deputy coroner for Ventura County.

“He had probably been there since his wife reported him missing,” Breese said. Breese said Feuerborn died of massive chest trauma in the accident.

Ventura County sheriff’s officials discovered the car Saturday evening and spent several hours pulling it out of the ravine. The incident is still under investigation.

The coroner’s office also released the identity of a man found Saturday on a lawn near Anacapa Hospital in Port Hueneme. Coroner’s officials believe Steven Victor Rayas, 52, of Port Hueneme, died of a possible drug overdose. The death is still under investigation.
