Party Crashers Sought in Slaying of 15-Year-Old Boy
A group of teen-agers are wanted in the murder of a 15-year-old boy Friday after he confronted uninvited guests who crashed a Pomona party attended by about 50 people.
The victim was shot in the head during a fistfight that broke out after party crashers were confronted about 10 p.m. at 1121 Neva Lane, said Pomona Police Sgt. Michael Ervin.
The assailants fled in a red Mazda RX-7 and a red Honda, Ervin said. Police did not know how many people were involved, and would not say whether the victim was the party’s host or a guest.
“We have well over 50 witnesses to this shooting,” Ervin said. “They are cooperating with us.”
The 15-year-old boy died at Pomona Valley Medical Center. Ervin said his identity has not been released at his family’s request.
