BELL GARDENS : L.A. Official Wooed for City Manager Job
The City Council last week extended an offer to a Los Angeles housing department official to fill the vacant city manager’s post.
A contract was presented on Wednesday to Charles M. Trevino, chief liaison for the Los Angeles City Attorney’s office and treasurer of the Central Basin Municipal Water District. Bell Gardens officials and Trevino are reviewing terms of the contract, which the City Council will discuss in a closed session Monday.
As a housing official, Trevino, 47, assists in prosecuting rent control ordinance violators. Recently elected to the water district board, he helps secure supplemental water for the 29-city district.
