Suspect in Stockton Murder Arrested
Los Angeles County sheriff’s deputies have arrested one of two men suspected of committing a murder in Stockton on Thursday.
Lino Armenta, 26, of Val Verde, was arrested at his residence Saturday shortly before 2 p.m., said Sgt. Gary Diederich of the Santa Clarita Valley sheriff’s station.
Armenta had been sought for the murder of Gerardo Trujillo, 18, who was shot several times in downtown Stockton, police there said. Authorities are still searching for another suspect.
Armenta “will be returned to Stockton to face charges,” Diederich said.
